📝 Sage & Scribe

Partner A explains, Partner B writes. Switch roles each problem.

RANDOM

📋 How It Works

  1. Partner A (Sage) explains how to solve the problem step-by-step, without writing.
  2. Partner B (Scribe) writes exactly what the Sage says, asking for clarification when needed.
  3. After solving, switch roles for the next problem.
  4. Odd problems: Partner A is Sage. Even problems: Partner B is Sage.
Problem 1 Partner A is Sage
|-5| + 3²
Skill: Absolute value
= 14
  1. First absolute value: |-5| = 5
  2. Then exponent: 3² = 9
  3. Finally add: 5 + 9 = 14
Problem 2 Partner B is Sage
5² - 3 × 5
Skill: Exponents and operations
= 10
  1. First exponent: 5² = 25
  2. Then multiply: 3 × 5 = 15
  3. Finally subtract: 25 - 15 = 10
Problem 3 Partner A is Sage
6 × (10 - 3²)
Skill: Nested operations
= 6
  1. First exponent: 3² = 9
  2. Parentheses: 10 - 9 = 1
  3. Finally multiply: 6 × 1 = 6
Problem 4 Partner B is Sage
(4 + 2)² ÷ 6
Skill: PEMDAS with exponents
= 6
  1. First parentheses: 4 + 2 = 6
  2. Then exponent: 6² = 36
  3. Finally divide: 36 ÷ 6 = 6
Problem 5 Partner A is Sage
2³ + 4 × 3
Skill: Exponents and operations
= 20
  1. First exponent: 2³ = 8
  2. Then multiply: 4 × 3 = 12
  3. Finally add: 8 + 12 = 20
Problem 6 Partner B is Sage
4² - 2³ + 5
Skill: Multiple exponents
= 13
  1. First exponent: 4² = 16
  2. Then exponent: 2³ = 8
  3. Subtract: 16 - 8 = 8
  4. Finally add: 8 + 5 = 13
